DURING THE FIREWORKS

New Year’s Eve is a time of celebration for most. Fireworks, invented in China between 600-900AD, are said to ward off evil spirits with their loud noise and brilliant colours.

Unfortunately, many pets whose hearing is more developed than ours, find the noise and colours overwhelming. Here are some tips for keeping your pets safe during New Year’s Eve celebrations.

1. Ensure that fences, gates and doors are secure

Your pets might panic when fireworks start and try to flee. Ensure that your property is secure. Better still, if you can bring your pets indoors do so.
